Hey, everyone! An up close and personal post today. As the holidays are approaching I find myself reflecting on my life, how far I have come and where I want to go. I started this blog a month ago and I honestly had no idea I was going to love it so much. This blog is for me and it’s also for my kids. For me, because as a stay-at-home mom I don’t want to forget who I am and what I love to do and for my kids because I want this blog to grow and be the reason I can stay home with them and work hard for them. I love makeup and beauty. Being a celebrity makeup artist was the ultimate dream but sometimes (always) God knows what is better for you. An amazing song was on the radio the other day by the band Mercy Me called “Dear Younger Me”. This song brought so much emotion with it. Have you ever wished you could tell your younger self, don’t worry or don’t make that choice? Maybe you have some past hurts you need to let go of. Maybe you would tell yourself to pursue that dream or just give your younger self some encouragement. Our choices make us who we are and this post isn’t about regret. It’s about freedom and reflection. So……..
Dear Younger Me,
Gosh darn it, woman! Wear sunscreen! You will have freckly, sun damaged skin and you will want it gone so do your due diligence now. Hey you in high school, don’t worry if so and so doesn’t like you. I promise you won’t really see these people after this and it gets better. Do not dye your hair dark and then decide you hate and it and then decide to bleach it…… trust me, just don’t. Try not to be so distracted by the moment and think about your future too; it will be here before you know it. Hi, there little one, you are important and God has a plan for you so don’t stop listening to HIS voice.
What do you think!? Anything you wish you could tell your younger self? I’d love to hear it.
Until next time!
